Community-First Mission: The mission of this association shall be to represent the interests of the community in the St. Paul Public Library, and especially in the St. Anthony Park Branch thereof. It shall undertake to make the library of greater significance in the life of the community and to increase the influence exerted by the community on behalf of the maintenance and growth of the library

Your Commitment: We are are a small organization doing big things! All board members are expected to attend monthly board meetings and to actively engage with all the board’s work between meetings, including contributing time, energy, and talents to ongoing board programming, planning and implementation of ongoing and annual events (such as the annual book sale, the monthly Forum, Pi Day, and the Luminary Festival), and outreach to the community. Board members are expected to be active members of at least one standing committee and to assume a leadership role for special events and programming.

Your Skills: We are especially interested in seeing applications from people with experience in marketing & communications (including social media), event organizing, financial management, community engagement, and technology.

In your statement, please highlight the relevant skills you can contribute to the Board’s ongoing work, an estimate of the time you can contribute per month to the Board’s activities, and any previous experience you may have as a member of a non-profit organization.
